WHO STANDS BEHIND MOVEWELL®?

We’re licensed professionals in the field of physiotherapy, functional strength and conditioning training, movement ergonomics, and nutrition science. We coach movement literacy to make you perform better at any task and challenge life constantly provides you with.

→ Movewell® was founded in 2017 in Berlin, Germany and is owned by Martin Strietzel.

WHAT DO I NEED MOVEWELL® FOR?

We are specialized and highly training in finding the weakest link that holds you back from being well and performing at your best sustainably. We take a systematic approach by checking your body’s overall functionality first. This includes an anamnesis that consists of multiple questions regarding your sleep and nutrition patterns, habits and occupational demands; a posture and movement screen;  coordination and strength tests; medical findings and the recommended treatment/training protocol. From there on we work on either health-related goals or fitness-related goals.

HOW DOES MOVEWELL® WORK?

Unless you’ve already worked with us, we’ll always recommend to start with the Movewell® Body Check-Up first. The initial check-up will showcase objectively what might cause you problems, stress and physical complaints. Furthermore, it serves for us perfectly to determine whether you would need nutritional guidance, fitness and movement coaching, physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory treatment or even further medical counseling with our partnering physicians.

WHERE DOES MOVEWELL® WORK?

We work at different places, mainly at our facility in Berlin Charlottenburg (Hardenbergstr. 20|10623 Berlin); our rooms in Berlin Weißensee (Lehderstraße 46a|13086); outdoors in Berlin (Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg or Charlottenburg) as well as online. Despite the pandemic we’ve been allowed the entire time to stay open, however, we only work in One-on-One sessions and if possible, online or outdoors.

IS MOVEWELL® PHYSIOTHERAPY COVERED BY INSURANCE?

Every treatment method is performed by Martin Strietzel and therefore only be covered in Germany by private health insurance providers. If you are privately insured and have a prescription from your physician, please contact us before booking any services. However, make sure that physiotherapy is included in your health insurance plan to the full costs – every 60 minutes session regardless of the method used, costs 95,00€, which may exceed the coverage of your insurance. If you are with a general health insurance provider and physiotherapy was prescribed to you, you would have to pay the 60€ out-of-pocket payment here.

DO WE BILL DIRECTLY TO YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER?

This question only applies to privately health insured patients!

We don’t. If physiotherapy is prescribed to you, you don't have to use the shop to pay in advance. You will get an invoice according to the prescribed method that you then submit to you health insurance provider for reimbursement. Be aware that prior to your first appointment you will have to sign a document to give consent that you'll be charged with the pre-calculated amount.

DO I NEED A PRE-EXAMINATION AND REFERRAL BY A MEDICAL PRACTITIONER?

You don’t need a pre-examination and referral prior to your first Movewell® Physiotherapy session, whether it is an acute or chronic problem. Although, the usual way if you experience pain, is to go see a doctor. Moreover, your health insurance might need this step to pay for further physical treatments. Either way, talk to us. In case we find something unexpected and need further information, we can immediately send you over to our cooperating medical practitioners as well.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AFTER BOOKING A SERVICE?
